The week before the Sun Run!

Well, this has been a week!

Monday, as I am running out the door to bring Agnes to a babysitting job, the phone rings. It is the realtor. They want to show the hose in almost exactly 24 hours. Great! All my yard sale stuff is in boxes in the dining room, living room and upstairs hallway. The garage is only half unpacked! I haven’t vacuumed in a month! I am having a major FREAK OUT!

Ok, re-wind. We have been renting this house since September. The layout is just perfect for us! There are 3 bedrooms and a small alcove that we use for a homeschool classroom. It has 2 ½ bathrooms, and a decent sized kitchen. And did I mention it has a garage? We rented it with all the stress cracks and the splitting driveway. When I walk out my front door in the winter, at night, I can see the Northern Lights from my front porch! But… the owners have put it on the market again. The sign went up on the house, and the lock-boxes went on the doors about a month ago. The property manager said that the last time they had the house on the market it never showed. They know the house is very over-priced. They know it has flaws. But I would bet they didn’t know all the flaws!

Tuesday, Agnes and I finish re-packing and cleaning and vacuuming the entire house. A guy from Century 21 pulls into the driveway next door along with a woman in another car. They start looking and pointing at the outside of the house. I waved and said, “Hi there! Are you the people coming to look at the house?” They were, so I boogied downstairs. By the time I got outside, the Realtor had his card ready, and told me that they weren’t going to by the house.

Agnes and I celebrated by spending the day playing a horse game on the Wii! It was the first true day off that we spent together! I played her Horse game, and it was really fun! I can’t wait until we have the house in a state that we can relax and just play, so I can NOT be thinking about all the stuff I have to get moving out of the house!

Thursday, we went to see “Up!”, and then Thursday night we had a 9 hour “Doctor Who” Marathon! (God bless the inventor of the DVR!) Agnes and I are totally addicted to the series! We finished our movie popcorn after we finished dinner! It was another relaxing day!

Friday we slept late and then went over to the Southern Lights Chapel to personalize our PT shirts for the Midnight Sun Run. Rob is a great Youth Leader! I wish more people would stay involved during the summer, but I totally understand!

My next entry will be about our first race!  I am excited!

Later…
